DO I HAVE TO SIGN A CONTRACT?

We do not require a contract for used cooking oil recycling and/or grease trap cleaning services. We do however ask that you sign a service agreement granting us the right to place a collection container on your premises and collect the used cooking oil from the container. If agreed to, the service agreement will also grant us the permission to access your grease traps for necessary cleanings.

If you would like to stop services you can do so at any time with 30 days notice, which we ask so that we have the time to remove our collection container from your premises. Our service agreements are generated and signed digitally providing for a hassle free experience.

WILL YOU PAY ME FOR MY USED COOKING OIL?

At this time, due to the increased expenses associated with collecting and recycling used cooking oil coupled with decreased crude oil prices, we are unable to pay you for your used cooking oil. While this may change in the future, we are continuing to see a declining trend in the market that simply doesn’t support payment to restaurants. While we understand that some companies will offer to pay you for your used cooking oil, more often than not, these are just empty promises to get your business. You either won’t get paid or the amount paid will be so insignificant that it’s negligible.

That being said, we would still like to compensate new customers for their business and existing customers for their continued loyalty. The best way we can do that is provide discounted or free (quarterly) grease trap cleaning services for your foodservice operation. The more used cooking oil that you generate, the better the terms that we can provide for your grease trap cleaning. In any case, we’re confident that we can significantly decrease your current grease trap cleaning expense.

DO YOU PROVIDE A COLLECTION CONTAINER? HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Yes, we will provide you with a collection container large enough to accommodate the amount of used cooking oil that your foodservice operation generates. Our collection containers range in size from 50-gallon drums to 300-gallon custom containers. We also can provide custom built oil dolly’s used for transporting the used cooking oil from your kitchen to the outdoor collection container.

While we will not charge you for the collection container for the time that we are providing services to you, the collection containers are not cheap and they’re not yours to keep. In the event that service is cancelled, we expect to be able to collect our container. Additionally, if the container is stolen or should sustain damage beyond that which we could repair ourselves, we reserve the right to seek reimbursement.

HOW OFTEN WILL YOU PICKUP OUR OIL?

This depends mostly on how much used cooking oil your foodservice operation generates and the size of the collection container that your premises could accommodate. Most of our customers are serviced on a monthly basis, while others generate so much used cooking oil that it needs to be collected bi-weekly or even weekly. There will be no cost to you regardless of how many times we need to come out and collect your oil.

WILL I BE PROVIDED WITH A RECEIPT FOR THE USED COOKING OIL COLLECTED?

Absolutely. All of the services performed by Green Star Biodiesel from used cooking oil collection to grease trap cleaning, line jetting and pressure cleaning are all recorded into our database and sent to you and/or the email(s) of your choice. We’ll even send a receipt to let you know when you collection container was delivered. This way you’ll have a record of all the services ever performed in case you need them for your county’s health or water inspector. And soon we’ll be rolling out a new feature on our website allowing you to view your account online and download/print your receipts and invoices directly from our site. Stay tuned for that!
